Sweet & Savoury Street Food Concept
Crispy Cones is a playful street food concept developed by Five Star, built around one simple idea: everything served in a cone. From crispy chicken strips, curly fries, and loaded tots to freshly baked bubble waffles and dessert cones, the menu blends sweet and savoury offerings into a fun, handheld experience. The concept is designed for mall kiosks, events, or compact storefronts, with high visual appeal and fast service. While the first location is currently in development, the brand is structured for scalable rollout and creative adaptability—offering indulgent, flavour-packed items perfect for high-traffic urban environments.

David Vindis is the founder and managing director of Five Star, a UAE-based consultancy specializing in food and beverage and hospitality project management. With a lifelong passion for hospitality, David began his journey in London, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Business and launched his career at the prestigious Lanesborough Hotel. He then joined Jason Atherton’s team, who later appointed him as General Manager of Marina Social at the InterContinental Dubai Marina—his first leadership role in the UAE.
Following that, David served as General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton DIFC, overseeing four of its flagship outlets, including the rebranding and refurbishment of key venues. His career further extended to high-profile roles at Zuma Dubai (Assistant General Manager) and the Burj Al Arab, where he managed the full outdoor operations, including restaurants, lounges, pools, and cabanas. At Zuma, he also led a six-month “Back to Basics” training program for the entire Dubai team.
In 2022, David launched Five Star, channeling over a decade of operational and leadership experience into consultancy. Now in its third year, Five Star has successfully delivered numerous projects across the UAE—helping entrepreneurs and brands bring their hospitality visions to life.
