Five Star is a UAE-based consultancy specializing in Food & Beverage and hospitality project management, with a strong focus on pre-opening and operational setup for new and redeveloped venues.
We manage every step – from overseeing site progress and coordinating with approved contractors to sourcing suppliers, hiring staff, and establishing all operational systems. Our services include menu creation and engineering, SOP and service sequence development, and full staff training.
Backed by years of hands-on experience, our team supports clients across all hospitality functions – HR, PRO, legal, kitchen, service, and technical operations. We’ve led successful launches in collaboration with top developers including Dubai Holding, Emaar, Meraas, Al Futtaim, MAF and more.

The journey
David Vindis is the founder and managing director of Five Star, a UAE-based consultancy specializing in food and beverage and hospitality project management. With a lifelong passion for hospitality, David began his journey in London, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Business and launched his career at the prestigious Lanesborough Hotel. He then joined Jason Atherton’s team, who later appointed him as General Manager of Marina Social at the InterContinental Dubai Marina—his first leadership role in the UAE.
Following that, David served as General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton DIFC, overseeing four of its flagship outlets, including the rebranding and refurbishment of key venues. His career further extended to high-profile roles at Zuma Dubai (Assistant General Manager) and the Burj Al Arab, where he managed the full outdoor operations, including restaurants, lounges, pools, and cabanas. At Zuma, he also led a six-month “Back to Basics” training program for the entire Dubai team.
In 2022, David launched Five Star, channeling over a decade of operational and leadership experience into consultancy. Now in its third year, Five Star has successfully delivered numerous projects across the UAE—helping entrepreneurs and brands bring their hospitality visions to life.
